At Byrnedale, we encourage our
families to continue to be a part of what makes this school great. We
want to thank you for all that you do to help your child or children be
successful. This year we have several new teachers who will call Byrnedale
home. The next page reflects those changes and we encourage you to take the
time to meet and welcome them. Our partnership with the YMCA will
continue during the 2023-2024 school year. They provide preschool and
daycare services to our Byrnedale families. Preschool is Monday-Friday; before
and after childcare will begin at 6 am and conclude at 6 pm. Please contact our
office if you would like more information regarding the YMCA.
Our staff looks forward to a new year continuing to provide the
best possible environment for our students where they move toward developing
academically and socially. Our wide range of activities and experiences
throughout the school day allows each student to achieve their personal
best. Family engagement and support provided by each child’s invested
adult; are essential to child development. As an educational team,
we are committed to working together to make this an outstanding school year.
We are looking forward to a
rewarding and exciting school year. Title 1 funding allows us to serve our
impoverished and underachieving students better. Our district has re-implemented
sports for your junior high students. Byrnedale hosts an award-winning
Dodgeball team that gives all Toledo students in grades 2-8 an opportunity
to play a team sport. Our goal is to broaden the knowledge and
experiences of all of our students such that every experience is academically
engaging and designed to enhance the quality of our student's learning and
success while aligning with the mission and vision of TPS.
